The importance of connection

Writer's picture: Allie SchultheisAllie Schultheis

It is not good for man to be alone. As I type this, Im reminded to reach out for my own connection needs. The value of our social relationships from our family of origin to our chosen friends impacts so many facets of our life development. Babies who are not held fail to thrive. This has been linked to numerous psychological and physical manifestations later in life. Our attachment to others is pivotal in our healing. Who do you have who knows all your parts, can love you in full grace and still be honest? That's what we all need. I encourage you to develop a life team of at least 3 people who are safe, respect your boundaries, reciprocal in their authenticity, and are equally engaged in bearing one another's burdens together.
